WaterAid Bangladesh comes forward to support Bangladesh Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWPBD) -2015. Recently they confirmed their consent to be part of SJWPBD as Co Organizer. They extended their support in continuation of their endeavor of engaging youth in WASH agenda. They are engaging youth through various initiatives like urban rain water harvesting, school WASH program.
SJWPBD is considering WaterAid as sustainable partner for this youth engaging water initiative. SJWPBD expected to have great resource support from WaterAid to make it successful with a meaningful kick off of SJWP in Bangladesh.
WaterAid Bangladesh emphasizes on consolidation of the past programme accomplishments, replication and scaling-up successful models for sustainability. They aim to address WaterAid’s objectives of ensuring water and sanitation rights, hygiene promotion, capacity development of sector stakeholders, generation and dissemination of critical knowledge, policy change and institutional development
WaterAid has been working in Bangladesh since 1986 and has many implementing partners, resource partners as well as various strategic partners.
